Silk Painter, Stained Glass, Art Wear
Juanita Yoder creates suspended paintings on silk for liturgical, public and private spaces. Her designs can be translated into stained glass, wearable art, and kinetic processional kites. Her kites have been used for major events in the Bascilica of the National Shrine in D.C., the St. James Cathedral of Seattle, and the Princeton University Chapel, among others. The current installation in the Princeton University Chapel of six suspended paintings is the third commission for the University of her work. Recent projects have been for locations in Laguna Beach, CA, Landsdale, PA, and for the Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart, Princeton, NJ.
